As an organisation, we have focused exclusively on tech recruitment for 29 years. As a Certified B Corporation™, Deerfoot values building ethical tech hiring partnerships that benefit all parties.
We deliver qualified, objective advice and great candidates to help you hire well.
Our aim is to help achieve better tech hiring outcomes. Our approach involves a comprehensive multi-step assessment methodology, underpinned by our British Standards Institution (BSI) Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) certification. This rigorous method leads to better tech hiring results for employers and, in turn, successful, sustainable career moves for tech and IT professionals.
We believe in thorough, intentional selection processes that prioritise quality over speed. Ever mindful of our ethical and social responsibilities to candidates and clients alike, we aim to be a trusted recruitment partner that delivers results across all tech functions, roles and technologies.

What our accreditations and memberships mean
Logos are easy to display, so here is what each one means in practice. Our ISO 9001 certification is covered above, and our work with Ecologi and the Born Free Foundation follows below.
Our environmental commitment
At Deerfoot, we recognise the urgent need for environmental stewardship and sustainability in today’s world. That’s why Deerfoot has partnered with Ecologi to become a Climate Action Workforce, reinforcing our dedication to making a positive impact on our planet.
Through our partnership, we’re actively contributing to reforestation projects, carbon offset initiatives and sustainable development programmes around the globe. By supporting Ecologi, we’re taking meaningful steps toward a greener future and demonstrating our commitment to climate action. You can read more about our environmental and social work in our Impact Report.
Social impact
We are deeply committed to protecting and preserving the Earth’s incredible wildlife. That’s why we’ve forged a partnership with the Born Free Foundation, a leading force in wildlife conservation.
Together with Born Free, we’re actively supporting efforts to safeguard endangered species, combat wildlife trafficking and promote habitats that foster biodiversity. By being a part of this mission, we’re making a tangible impact on the well-being of animals around the world. We also offer fee-free recruitment to UK charities.
Frequently asked questions
Who is Deerfoot and where is your team based?
Deerfoot Recruitment Solutions is an independent recruitment consultancy, founded in 1997 and focused exclusively on tech and IT for 29 years. Our team is based predominantly in Hampshire and works remotely, with consultants covering different parts of the UK. You can meet the team on our team page.
What does being a Certified B Corporation™ mean for how you work?
B Lab independently assesses how a company treats its people, communities and the environment, and how it is governed. We were certified in May 2026 with a B Impact Score of 83.4, and 80 is needed to qualify. It shapes how we work, from fee-free recruitment for charities to our donations to Born Free. Our Impact Report has the detail, and you can learn more at bcorp.com.
What do your accreditations and memberships cover?
Our ISO 9001:2015 certification from BSI, held since 1999, means our process is independently audited. As a corporate member of the REC we follow its Code of Professional Practice and pass a compliance assessment every two years. As an FCSA Recruiter Partner we use only FCSA accredited providers on our preferred supplier lists, and our Cyber Essentials certification covers the basic controls that protect the data we hold.
How do you protect candidate and client data?
We only send a candidate's CV to a client with their permission. Our Cyber Essentials certification covers firewalls, secure configuration, security updates, user access control and malware protection, and our privacy policy explains how we use personal information.
What do you do for charity and the environment?
We donate £1 to the Born Free Foundation for every CV we send to a client, and we work with Ecologi to plant trees and fund climate projects. We also offer fee-free recruitment to UK charities.
Which roles and areas do you cover?
We recruit permanent, contract and interim tech and IT roles across the UK, from software engineering, data and cloud to cyber security, infrastructure, project delivery and IT leadership. See the roles we cover and the areas we cover.
What do your standard permanent terms include?
Our standard permanent terms include a 6-month 100% refund, and we invoice nothing until four weeks in, with the fee split 50/50 at four weeks and three months. Contract recruitment is from an 8% mark-up. The refund guarantee page has the full terms.
