Transition Project Manager
Client are seeking a Transition Project Manager.
The successful candidate will oversee and direct significant organsiational changes within the department ensuring they ailgn with the strategic goals and are delivered effectively. This role will be critical to ensuring the department achieve their operational excellence.
This role will be responsible for delivery of transition of high value add service / capability to Clients CCPs and offshore location.
The ideal candidate will posses a blend of leadership, technical project management expertise and a passion for driving transformation within Technology Department.
The role requires strong project management, communication and stakeholder management skills to drive transitions of services within the department and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide project management on initatiave with a strong emphasis on positive change management.
• Develop and manage transition plans, including project scope, objectives, timelines and resources.
• Ensure change management principles are integrated into project works
• Develop and implement clear and effective communication strategy for the project
• Manage internal and external communication channels for the project ensuring strong and coherent messaging.
• Engagement with multiple and senior stakeholders to gain support for the transition and management of expectations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks throughout the project ensuring multiple workstreams remain on track
• Track progress, RAID, RAG and KPI and report on behalf of the projects performance, reporting on the transitions benefits and ensuring the transisition delivers the return on investment.
• Optimise resource across the project and department to ensure effective delivery and execution
• Manage delivery of effective service transition to offshore delivery location
• Ensure adequate training and resources are in place to those affected by the transition
• Ensure lessons learnt are documented and applied to future projects.
Skills and Experience:
Functional / Technical Competencies & Work Experience:
Essential:
Demonstrable track record of leading and executing transformation projects (7 yrs +)
Experience managing multiple transformation projects and transition of services to CCPs and 3rd party suppliers.
Proven experience in IT change management and or Technology adoption programs of work
Proven track record of successfully managing transformation project initiatives within in a corporate and regulatory environment.
Prior experience with Technological Service Transformation Projects for Infrastructure and Technology Operation Services preferred (5 years +)
Extensive experience in project management, inclusing budgeting, risk management, team leadership and service transition, operational readiness (10 yr +)
Stakeholder Management: Experience engaging with senior executives, IT teams, and business users.
Excellent Planning, organisations and project management skills demonstrable through the successful delivery of a range of complex communication activities and projects.
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
Desirable
Prior experience in a global bank or financial institution
Education / Qualifications:

Solid understanding of project and programme management principles and methodologies such as PRINCE2 or MSP
