M365 Messaging & Collaboration Architect

Are you the Microsoft 365 architect other engineers turn to when mail flow, security and collaboration all have to fit together? This M365 Messaging & Collaboration Architect contract puts you at the centre of a leading global financial services organisation's email and collaboration estate.

You'll be the hands-on point of contact for technical escalations and will shape project work as it arrives, including a consolidation of several email security gateways onto a single platform. It's a hybrid Exchange environment, mostly cloud with some mailboxes still on-prem, so depth across both matters.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Acting as the technical point of contact and escalation for the messaging and collaboration team
  • Advising on and designing Microsoft 365 solutions across Exchange Online, Purview, Entra and Azure
  • Shaping email routing and mail flow across a hybrid Exchange environment
  • Contributing to an email security gateway consolidation onto a single platform
  • Integrating DLP and email archiving tooling with the platform
  • Giving architectural input to project work as it comes in

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive, recent experience architecting and supporting Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration
  • Deep hybrid Exchange experience, both Exchange Online and on-prem
  • Strong understanding of email routing and email security gateways, from any vendor
  • Knowledge of Purview, Entra and Azure, including DLP and email archiving integrations

Desirable: financial services or other regulated environments, Proofpoint, on-prem to Exchange Online migrations

Please note: this role needs four days a week on site in London.
