Product and Account Lead

£590 - £690 per day DOE
6 - 12 Month Contract - Outside IR35 - ASAP Start
Are you the person who can own a client relationship, shape the product and grow an account?
This Product and Account Lead contract is with a fast-growing UK AI and robotics company moving into life sciences, where its biotech partnership is the flagship. You'll own that account outright: the client, the product, the team that builds it and its commercial performance.
It's a hybrid contract in Oxfordshire for 6 to 12 months, outside IR35, with an ASAP start and no security clearance required. There's no playbook, so you'll be writing it.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning the client relationship from day-to-day users to senior stakeholders, setting priorities and keeping scope realistic
- Leading the internal delivery team, setting direction and sequencing work
- Turning client feedback and market needs into a clear product roadmap
- Owning plans, milestones, risk and change control, including vendor and subcontractor deliverables
- Growing the account into new teams, workflows and use cases, and tracking adoption and revenue
- Reporting on account health to the client and to leadership
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years managing AI projects with multiple stakeholders and production releases
- Proven end-to-end ownership of a client relationship, including commercial responsibility
- A biotech, pharma or life sciences background
- Credibility with engineers on LLMs, RAG, data pipelines, Python and React, without needing to code
- Strong control of scope, requirements and budget, and comfort building process from scratch
Desirable: account growth through expansion or renewal, a portfolio of shipped AI products, scientific or regulated data experience, presenting to senior stakeholders, business development experience
