Cloud Engineer – Contract
£400 per day (Inside IR35) | Fully Remote (UK-based candidates only)

Our client is one of the UK's largest multi-brand automotive services groups, with operations spanning several European markets. As the business continues to consolidate and modernise its technology estate, they're looking for a Cloud Engineer to join on a contract basis, working primarily across Azure and Microsoft 365, with some exposure to Google Cloud Platform and Salesforce.

As the business continues to consolidate and modernise its technology estate, they're looking for a Cloud Engineer to join on a contract basis, working primarily across Azure and Microsoft 365, with some exposure to Google Cloud Platform and Salesforce.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting, maintaining and improving the organisation's Azure environment, including compute, storage, networking and identity (Azure AD/Entra ID)
- Administering and optimising the Microsoft 365 estate — Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune and security & compliance
- Building and maintaining automation and infrastructure-as-code to keep deployments consistent and repeatable
- Monitoring platform performance, cost and security posture, and resolving issues as they come up
- Supporting workloads and integrations that touch Google Cloud Platform and Salesforce, working alongside the teams that own those platforms
- Feeding into the roadmap for cloud and M365 tooling, and helping the wider IT function move toward best practice
- Working with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to deliver changes safely and with minimal disruption
Essential:
- Strong, hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS, networking, identity, monitoring)
- Solid experience managing a Microsoft 365 tenant (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, security & compliance)
- Comfortable scripting and automating routine tasks (PowerShell or similar)
- Able to work independently in a fully remote role, with clear communication back to non-technical stakeholders
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Familiarity with Salesforce administration or supporting Salesforce integrations
