You’ll work on complex, high-impact challenges spanning AI assurance, governance, risk management and lifecycle management, helping organisations build trust in AI while unlocking its potential.
What you’ll be doing
- Define and deliver AI assurance: Design, implement and continuously improve AI assurance frameworks covering fairness, safety, transparency, explainability, privacy, security, robustness, accountability and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and assess AI risk: Lead AI risk, impact and control assessments, evaluating business, operational, ethical, legal, regulatory and societal risks, particularly in high-risk or regulated environments.
- Embed risk throughout the AI lifecycle: Integrate first-line AI risk management and assurance from use-case selection and design through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, change management and retirement.
- Build trusted AI solutions: Partner with product, engineering, data science, security, privacy, legal and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions align with risk appetite, governance requirements and regulatory expectations.
- Ensure ongoing AI performance: Establish requirements for monitoring, performance validation, drift detection, incident management and post-deployment assurance so AI systems remain effective, safe and compliant.
- Shape AI strategy and growth: Contribute to enterprise-wide AI transformation, solve complex strategic challenges and help grow the wider AI Strategy practice.
- Demonstrable experience in AI risk management and assurance, including model performance, transparency, explainability, accountability, privacy, security and regulatory compliance.
- Strong experience embedding AI governance, risk management and assurance across the end-to-end AI lifecycle.
- Proven ability to conduct AI risk assessments, impact assessments, control evaluations and assurance reviews, ideally within regulated or high-risk environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, practical, risk-based recommendations for technical, operational and executive audiences.
- Strong understanding of AI monitoring and observability, including performance validation, drift detection, incident management and post-deployment assurance.
- A genuine passion for responsible, safe and scalable AI adoption, combined with commercial acumen, curiosity, adaptability and the ability to remain effective in complex or high-pressure environments.
- Desirable: Experience across sectors such as Central Government, Defence, Manufacturing, Automotive, Life Sciences, Consumer Products & Retail or Financial Services; experience influencing cross-functional teams and operating in complex or highly regulated risk environments.
