Deerfoot Recruitment is partnering with a Kent-based local government organisation to recruit an ICT Application Support Analyst on a 12-month contract. This role offers predominantly home-based working with occasional visits to offices in Sittingbourne, Maidstone or Tunbridge Wells.

As ICT Application Support Analyst, you will provide 2nd/3rd line support for a small portfolio of Windows-based line-of-business applications, ensuring systems remain stable, secure and well-supported for users across the organisation. You will work closely with the internal ICT team, business users and third-party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd/3rd line application support for core business systems.
  • Support, maintain and troubleshoot SQL Server databases.
  • Administer and support Windows-based line-of-business applications.
  • Assist with application upgrades, releases and testing.
  • Liaise with users, suppliers and internal ICT teams to resolve incidents and service requests.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in an Application Support / ICT Support role.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server (queries, basic administration, troubleshooting).
  • Background supporting Windows-based applications and the Microsoft technology stack.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, ideally including SharePoint Online.
  • Good understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD) or similar identity / access management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in a local government or wider public sector environment.
  • Exposure to systems such as IDOX Uniform and/or Academy Revs & Bens.
  • Experience supporting other M365 services and related integrations.
