Application Support Engineer – Java, .NET, Dynamics
Full Time / Permanent
Salary: £45k-£55k base + benefits package
Location offices to choose from: either London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Wales, Liverpool or Sheffield (remote for now)
We have been asked to assist in the recruitment for a Application support Engineers to join a growing team. There are three independent roles available, one for Java, another for .NET and a third for Dynamics.
Our client is one of the industry leaders in testing services delivering across the public sector in the UK. They deliver a wide variety of projects across multiple technology platforms into numerous business areas. It is a fast paced and challenging environment to work within. We are looking for dynamic, ambitious individuals who want to become part of their high performing teams.
Role Focus:
Support our client with their Applications as a 3rd line support Developer. You will be expected to be able to obtain security clearance then support our client remotely. You will be expected to be able to assist with answering queries, resolving issues and incidents, and providing best practice where required. You will also be expected to work on requests for changes and enhancements, amending and creating code, undertaking RCAs and fix of any issues alongside working on ongoing releases
Key Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Java, .NET or Dynamics
• Experience of Cloud Native Web App development, including knowledge of up to date frameworks in Java 11/Javascript (Node.js) 365 Customer Engagement/Field Services and be able to explain their associated application processes
• Good knowledge of CI/CD, Gitflow/GitHub, and experience of Jenkins/Azure DevOps
• Experience in integration/automation of interfaces through Azure Service Bus/Azure Logic Apps/Azure
• Functions/C# APIs, including experience in parameterized ARM templates
• Be able to work independently and to work collaboratively with other members in the support or development teams providing Java, .NET or Dynamics assistance to our clients
• You should be able to manage your tasks and update and resolve incidents/problems according to the client to Service Levels
• You will be expected to demonstrate an ability to develop other colleagues
• Provide consultancy in the Java, .NET or Dynamics, as required by our clients. You will also need to be able to interpret client
• business requirements and map those requirements to Java,
