Are you passionate about business management, governance, resource, vendor, and financial oversight within a cutting-edge Digital Engineering environment? Join the Digital Engineering department of a leading international banking group and become the engine behind strategic operations, supporting department heads and leadership teams at the highest level.
This day rate contract opportunity offers you a wide variety of responsibilities and the chance to make an impact across multiple functions. It’s an inside IR35 engagement, fully onsite at the bank’s EMEA headquarters in London, just a short walk from Moorgate tube station.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the trusted business management partner to digital engineering leadership, reporting to the COO, Department Head, and extended leadership.
- Oversee budget maintenance and optimisation, tracking costs for resource, hardware, and software.
- Produce high-quality governance reports, MI packs, and department-wide communication for senior stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end resource processes: recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, contract governance, and capacity planning.
- Coordinate vendor onboarding, contract/NDAs/SOWs, and strategic supplier relationships in line with operational standards.
- Drive efficiency, support outsourcing/RFP processes, and ensure compliance across the department.
- Support business continuity planning, event coordination (Town Halls), and maintain service catalogues and organisation charts.
- Manage and deliver critical departmental communications, approvals, and documentation to support objectives.
Key Skills/Requirements
- Significant business management, governance, and business support experience - ideally within a COO function or senior-level support team.
- Strong budget management, resource governance, procurement, and third-party/vendor management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to relay complex scenarios clearly to senior management.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, able to balance multiple priorities, manage large workloads, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Advanced MS Office/reporting skills; proven ability to create precise, accurate reports.
- Experience in financial services preferred; direct technology/infrastructure/service management or project management background desirable.
