Market leader, online retail seller based in Harlow, employing circa 100 staff, is looking to recruit an IT Operations Manager. Managing an IT team of 6, you will be responsible for all technical operations across the business. Working closely with the Directors, you will be participating in strategic planning to support the Companies ambitious growth plans, whilst acting as an IT department or company representative to other departments, business partners and stakeholders.

Skills / Experience:
Broad I.T. knowledge (systems, software, hardware).
Educated to degree level
Documenting of new integrations, functional specifications and data projects.
Prince2 would be a desirable
Microsoft environment

Role Overview
This role incorporates IT, Operation Project Management, as well as technical and administrative support to the IT Director. Candidates will be well-versed in performance and task management, having the ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritise workload and communicate with people at all levels.

We have been asked to assist in the recruitment of an enthusiastic and driven Service Desk Engineer to work within a small, close-knit team in Welwyn. With a requirement to support all headquarters and field staff within the organisation, the successful candidate must have excellent comuications skills and experience of working witin a service desk environment.

Essential:
• Operating Windows 7 and Windows 10 desktops, especially software installation
• Operating on Windows Server, basic logging in /out and simple checking
• Office365 – managing Mailboxes and users
• Active Directory – simple account creation/deletion/group maintenance
• Operating System and Application deployment
• Following processes and tasks both accurately and consistently
• Providing remote support, often by phone over low bandwidth connection
• Experience of being part of a customer focussed team
• A strong customer service/support background
• Experience supporting in a Wintel environment

Desirable:
• ITIL Foundation/Knowledge
• Knowledge of or experience supporting Digital Camera’s
• Supporting remote working on low bandwidth connection
• Stock control systems
• Basic server technologies such as DNS, DHCP, IIS
• Understanding of image/application deployment

Please note; this role requires employees to help provide essential support to the field based staff over the weekends and on bank holidays, which is expected to be an average of 6 hours (one weekend) per month.
