Job description

As a preferred IT / tech recruitment partner to this global financial services organisation, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a Software Tools Developer. You will be part of a team of 5 supporting the existing ServiceNow service management toolset and future toolset implementations. You will also work with the business, Toollset Manager, Business Analysts, Test Analysts and IT team to assist in the design and implementation new functionality required by the business.

Key Responsibilities / Scope Of Role:
•Manage reported faults with existing ServiceNow functionality through to resolution
•Carry out regular housekeeping tasks to maintain accuracy of data and ensure governance policies for the toolset/s are followed
•Make requested administrative and content changes to Service Management tools
•Manage new functional requirements through to delivery:
o     Gather user requirements
o     Produce specifications
o     Estimate timescales
o     Develop and deploy solutions
o     Ensure quality assurance and testing; creating test plans/scripts to ensure alignment with IT standards/strategy
o     Coordinate with users to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing and final deployment to live
o     Deal with changing requirements
o     Liaise with internal customers
o     Handle ad-hoc requests
•Monitor the toolset applications/platforms, proactively address any issues and raise Improvement opportunities
•Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency
•Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements, recommending appropriate system alternatives and / or enhancements to current systems
•Prepare communications and make presentations on proposed system enhancements and / or alternatives
