Job description

We have been retained on an exclusive basis to assist in the hire of an individual to play an instrumental part in the next phase of growth for this established and forwarding thinking software services organisation that specialise in the design, build and deployment of Java stack micro-service, cloud native deployments for organisations of significance.

As Software Engineering Services Manager your role will have three key functions:

- Ownership of client relationships for all software development / software product deployment engagements.
- Leadership, mentoring and support of the software development teams members.
- Input into technical strategy / technical roadmap.

Candidates must be proven leaders with the ability to gain trust, motivate and support team members; possess outstanding client engagement skills; have a solid background and understanding of the complexities of software development / software product development challenges, ideally within cloud, micro services and Java technology stack deployments.

Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Docker, SSH, Jira, Junit, Mockito and Hibernate
Continuous Integration (Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube and Maven)

Our client’s HQ is based on the Surrey / Berkshire border, but the role holder will be expected to spend time at client locations. At this time a significant engagement is on the Hampshire coast. Client spread is likely to be concentrated within the south east region but may reach further afield.
