Senior Public Cloud Engineer
Long term contract (initially 12 months)
25,000 - 40,000 AED Monthly + Benefits

As a successful and preferred recruitment partner to one of the most prestigious and well-known organisations in the world, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a Senior Public Cloud Engineer. You will be positioned in our client’s global HQ in the vibrant and extravagant multicultural city of Dubai, we are looking for well-established individuals to join them on a long-term rolling contract basis (12+ Months). Given the current situation with the pandemic, there is an option to start remotely.

The Senior Network Public Cloud Engineer, in agreement with the Architecture and Engineering Teams, is co-responsible for the correct implementation and build-out of a Public Cloud Infrastructure trough the usage of automation and modern Infrastructure as a Code and DevOps methodologies. The scope of the role requires broad and in-depth knowledge of multiple Public Cloud aspects also around security and automation.

Key Skills / Responsibilities
• Expert knowledge of Cloud based services with minimum of 5+ years of supporting and maintain cloud infrastructures.
• In-depth experience in automation (Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-Code), Orchestration and management of
a. both on-premises infrastructure and applications
b. cloud hosted Infrastructure-as-a-Service
c. Platform-as-a-Service capabilities including virtual networks, virtual machines, and data services.
• Proven experience of working with and following Agile practices
• Experience of engineering at high scale in at least 1 of the major 3 public cloud service providers (2 preferred)
• Experience in working with cross functional enterprise Centers of Excellence which include International resources
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional and/or AZ-400 Microsoft Azure DevOps Solutions certified
• Experience with cloud vendor native cost management platforms. Including rightsizing and reserved instance evaluations.
• Experience with policies and controls governance, using cloud vendor native tools (e.g., Azure Policy, AWS Service Control Policies).
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server system administration
• Experience with infrastructure configuration and automations processes and tools: Terraform, Puppet, Ansible.
• Experience in Scripting (shell, python, Go)
• Strong command over the English language including the meaning and spelling of word
