IT Infrastructure Support Analyst
£23,000 - £25,000 (DOE)+ Benefits
Permanent Opportunity
Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

As a trusted, approved and preferred recruitment partner to this rapidly growing IT Managed Services Provider, we have been asked to assist in the recruitment of a Level 2 Infrastructure Engineer to join them on a permanent basis at their Huntington Datacentre offices.

You will have the opportunity to join a busy team to provide and maintain the core services of the business and it’s clients. The successful candidate will need a valid driving license and their own vehicle. You will also be expected to work a rolling two-week shift pattern (07:00 – 14:30, and 14:30 – 23:00). There is also occasional weekend work. This role is eligible for a 10% shift allowance, as well as on-call bonus should you participate in this.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting and Monitoring all hosted environments
- Triaging and Resolving customer and internal user issues
- Backup (Veeam, HP Data Protector), Monitoring and Liaising with Third Party Support
- Implementing, Configuring and Maintaining network devices, physical HPE ProLiant hardware and virtual machines (on VMware and Hyper-V)
- Installation and Removal of IT Infrastructure hardware across multiple sites

Essential Skills and Experience Required
- Experience working to ITIL Processes / Guidelines
- At least one year of working within a dedicated IT Department
- Understanding of Virtualisation and Backup Technologies (Veeam, HP Data Protector, VMWare, Hyper-V)
- Service Desk Software Experience
- Able to work to tight deadlines and manage workloads
- Microsoft Windows Desktop / Microsoft Server Experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Must hold valid UK Driving License and Own Transport (for travelling between sites where required)
