Role Overview
You will be working within the application operations, development and data warehouse teams to help extract, understand, document and appreciate the requirements being defined, whether these are for a new project, an enhancement, a fault or a new report.

• Undertake or assist the design and development of solutions to meet the business requirements.
• Assist in the recommendation of appropriate Information Technology solutions to fit business need and commensurate with the business case.
• Develop solutions to meet agreed timescales and costs while achieving world-class standards of productivity and quality throughout the application lifecycle.
• Continually review, test and verify that assigned tasks are meeting the agreed business requirements.
Where appropriate undertake a lead developer role ensuring that allocated resources are focused on delivery of agreed solution, timescales and quality.
• Provide troubleshooting and methodical diagnostic skills to resolve issues restore service and ensure root causes are fixed.
• Where applicable provide support cover for applications, in some cases agreeing to call out for 2nd and 3rd line support ‘out of hours’.
• Where appropriate undertake the mentoring of new or more junior team members, providing knowledge transfer, skills development, advice and guidance, and ensuring adherence to standards.
