Job description

IT Systems Manager
Permanent Opportunity
International Banking Group
c. £60,000 DOE + Benefits
WFH / Northwich, Cheshire

As a preferred and trusted recruitment partner to this international banking group, we are assisting in the hire of a permanent IT Systems Manager to join their UK subsidiary headquartered in Cheshire following a period of significant growth.

You will be responsible for managing, supporting, and developing the Bank’s IT Applications as well as managing the systems development team and providing a technical lead.

The Role
• Plan and manage development workstreams, allocating and managing work for team members
• Contribute to design, development, testing and implementation of software, systems and enhancements to the bank’s core processing systems and platforms
• Provide 3rd Line support for IT Systems issues and queries
• Define / recommended technical solutions for projects and contribute to strategic planning activities
• Produce quality documentation including proposals and reports on a variety of technical matters
• Work on a rota basis performing the Bank’s end of day process and assist with OOO on-call support

Skills / Experience Required
• Experience in Team Leadership / Management with software development background (SDLC)
• Experience working with Oracle Databases (Oracle APEX development experience)
• Experience of Windows and Linux Platforms
• Strong SQL skills, preferably PL/SQL
• SAP Business Objects experience preferable.
• Systems / UAT Testing – creating and executing system test plans.
• Exposure to Agile and other development methodologies
• Prior financial sector / banking sector experience preferable
• Change Management experience (plan complex change activities)

This opportunity offers a mix of home-based remote work, alongside some office-based work at their UK HQ in Northwich, Cheshire. Candidates should therefore be happy to commute to Northwich.
