IT Service Desk Technician – Circa £25k + Benefits package

We have been asked to assist in the recruitment of an enthusiastic and driven Service Desk Engineer to work within a small, close-knit team in Welwyn. With a requirement to support all headquarters and field staff within the organisation, the successful candidate must have excellent communications skills and experience of working within a service desk environment.

Skills / Environment
Essential:
• Operating Windows 7 and Windows 10 desktops, especially software installation
• Operating on Windows Server, basic logging in /out and simple checking
• Office365 – managing Mailboxes and users
• Active Directory – simple account creation/deletion/group maintenance
• Operating System and Application deployment
• Following processes and tasks both accurately and consistently
• Providing remote support, often by phone over low bandwidth connection
• Experience of being part of a customer focused team
• A strong customer service/support background
• Experience supporting in a Wintel environment

The working hours will be 08.30 – 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.30 – 16.30 on a Friday.

Please note; this role requires employees to help provide essential support to the field-based staff over the weekends and on bank holidays, which is expected to be an average of 6 hours (one weekend) per month.

Salary: Circa £25k
