Information Security Engineer
£40k - £50k base + good bonus + benefits

As a trusted and approved IT recruitment partner to this global financial services organisation we have been asked to assist in the hire of an Information Security Engineer to join in the Newcastle Office.

Key skills / Responsibilities:

Security Incident and Issue Management
• SOC Alert triage and first responder
• Internal Security Alert triage and first responder
• Vulnerability Management
o Issue triage and remediation
o Scanning Service Management
• DLP Event triage

Security Services Monitoring and Oversight
• Security Change Oversight and Challenge
o Firewall
o CASB Change
o Anti-Malware
o Proxy Change
o DLP Configuration Management
o SOC Data Source Management
• Vulnerability Scanning Service Management
• Oversight of Recertification of User Access and Entitlements
• Oversight of Recertification of Privileged Access and Entitlements

Service Management and Improvement
• Information Security Services Tuning and Improvement: “raising the bar” by identifying appropriate controls or functionality in existing technology, working with Service Management teams to drive adoption whilst minimising adverse business impact.
• Leverage knowledge of key Internet services and how security controls can be applied at a security perimeter to minimise risk as a result of permitting cross perimeter connectivity
• SOC Tuning and Improvement
• L1 InfoSec end user enquiries and request triage
