Initial 12-month Contract

As a successful and preferred recruitment partner, we have been instructed by one of the most prestigious and well-known organisations in the world to assist in the hire of a Contract FinOps and Governance Analyst.

With our client’s global HQ in the vibrant and extravagant multicultural city of Dubai, we are looking for well-established individuals to join them on a long-term rolling contract basis (12+ Months).

The FinOps and Governance Analyst is a multi-faceted role with skills and knowledge typical of a financial and cost expert combined with the ones of a key technologist. Within the Cloud Governance team in conjunctions with other experts, will be responsible for driving the Enterprise-wide Cloud adoption with a strong, specific and absolutely primary focus on FinOps principles, Cost Optimizations and Governance.

Skills / Environment
• Experience in business finance
• Hands-on experience on cloud computing, cloud implementation and migration (AWS, Azure, VMware, GCP)
• Experience with at least two major Public Cloud Providers in the cost management area (e.g., AWS or Azure)

Role description
Acting as a trusted advisor, you will guide the teams on all cloud best practices related to costs aspects and on how to leverage different and appropriate products and services to drive cost efficiency.
You will engage with Technology, Finance, Procurement and Products teams, to implement strong cost savings and cost reporting practices making the Cloud a valuable asset in providing data to be used for business decisions and expansion.
You will lead and/or facilitate cross-functional teams of experts to help design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise cloud cost strategies within the organization.
Key aim will be on ensuring expected strategies, plans, needed policies and governance best practices will be engineered and/or applied.
The FinOps and Governance Analyst will be a point of refence for any cost related cloud topics and will work as a key and positive force in the adoption of Cloud throughout all technical and non-technical teams. Aim will be the creation of a “Business and Cost Wise”, secure, self-healing, scalable cloud, architecting migration to improve IT Business relevance and visibility, fault tolerance, reduce failure rates and optimise TCO across the entire infrastructure stack.
