Global Consultancy

As a trusted recruitment partner to this well-known global consultancy, we are assisting in the hire of a Cloud Native Architect to join their fast-growing Public Sector team. You will be responsible for defining and enabling the strategy and approach to Cloud Native, focussing on culture, process, practices, and tools to increase capability to delivery applications and services at high velocity in a sustainable manner.

You will understand key technologies in the Cloud Native domain and have experience using these to deliver cloud native large-scale nationally critical projects. You will have the ability to lead and influence the overall Cloud Native strategy and approach, engaging effectively with cross functional teams and senior stakeholders to build supportable, sustainable, and reliable services.

Skills / Experience Required
o Defining a clear vision / strategy and to promote its adoption across a range of stakeholders.
o Leading implementation of Cloud Native strategies and transformation at scale.
o Expertise in Cloud Native and Virtualisation Platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, VMware, etc.), operating systems (Linux, Windows), infrastructure automation (Ansible, Chef, Packer, Puppet, Terraform) and application hosting technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift etc.).
o Understanding of the practical application of DevOps/SRE philosophy, Agile methods, Infrastructure as Code, and leading teams in an Agile/Lean/Continuous Delivery environment.
o Designing and architecting enterprise and/or web-scale hosting platforms with a focus on security.
o Understand the issues of users and work with them to create solutions that transform industries.
o Experience working with Senior IT groups in an advisory role .
o Experience working with CTO/CIO/COO to create technical strategies.
o Experience in SDLP (software delivery lifecycle process), its optimisation and process enablement including test automation and service virtualisation and infrastructure and application monitoring.
o Understanding of Software Development (Java, Python, Ruby) combined with expertise in design of on-prem/off-prem/hybrid architectures utilising technologies and approaches such as API’s Micro-services, Containers, PaaS, and SaaS.
o Strong presentation skills, able to communicate complex ideas and concepts.
