Job description

Application Support Analyst – up to £35k

A well-respected Retail client based in Cambridge are looking for an Application Support Analyst to join the team on a fulltime onsite basis. The successful candidate will be joining at busy time for the business, so you’ll be joining at a critical time of growth for the IT team. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting, maintaining and training staff on the suite of Windows applications which include MS Nav and a range of other software applications

Skills / Environment
• Experience managing multiple Microsoft applications with a focus on SQL system – Essential that you’ve worked with SQL Server
• Understanding of infrastructure technologies
• Proven background in recording and solving application support issues from customers, prioritising requests and providing a solution within the agreed timeframe.
• Any experience working in an ITIL environment and supporting MS Nav, SSRS or any experience SQL scripting would be advantageous.

Role Overview
• Assist the wider support team in the implementation and testing to continuously improve performance, availability and security.
• Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of applications and procedures.
• Provide second line support to the Service desk team for issues that cannot be resolved
• Liaison for Service desk and Development team for all application changes.
• Assist in defining relevant acceptance tests for application changes
• Monitor and respond to application alerts and faults.
• Identify and report overloading, capacity issues or any potential threats to service levels.

Salary: up to £35k
