Lead Project Manager – Fixed Income – London – City – Banking to 90k base + ex bens
Essential skills: Fixed Income specialism experience and strong investment banking sector experience a must. Prince 2 Practitioner. Experience of managing multiple projects concurrently. Project management / programme management.
Base to £90k + 35% bonus scheme, BUPA for immediate family, good pension, holiday quota to 30 days + more.
Our client's business is at the very heart of the London banking community and is a stable member and well regarded institution within city finance circles. Our client's IT systems help support the trading of items such as derivatives swaps and fixed income products. Our client’s position in London will further benefit as the banking world adjusts to a more regulated and structured environment. As a highly established and one of just two preferred suppliers to this client we have been asked to recruit a Lead Project Manager to work exclusively within the fixed income arena.
Your role function will be to deliver a programme of change for the Fixed Income business. To manage projects of high importance from inception through to benefits realisation. To oversee the work of other project managers who may undertake smaller projects within the Fixed Income change portfolio.
The Lead PM will report to the Technology Lead for the area and will always be aligned to the Fixed Income silo. Other PMs and Project Support resources will join the silo when the project work load requires it. The Lead PM will understand and oversee the full portfolio in the area and will work on the bigger profile projects.
Candidates should come from an IT background so that they can liaise with the IT teams at a detailed level where necessary.
The role is likely to be managing 2-3 small – medium (€0.75 -1.5million) projects simultaneously. Next year our client will be kicking off a much larger project to migrate to a new platform which will be a €2-3 million project. Candidates should have experience on working on this size project. The planning stage for this will start in Summer 2010 so the successful candidate will be involved in the very initial stages.
Candidates should have experience of working with virtual teams and strong stakeholder management experience.
