Job description:
Contract Change Analyst / Configuration Analyst – 6 months circa. Good day rate (we apply fixed percentage low margin fee).

Skills: Change management, Configuration management, ITIL Change Management Practitioner, ITIL Configuration Management Practitioner, ITIL Service Manager CMDB, MsExcel. Change management / Configuration management Practitioner certified. Remedy 7. Banking sector experience preferred.

Note: This is a six month contract role, but may switch to permanent in 2011.

Our client's business is at the very heart of the London banking community and is a stable member and well regarded institution within city finance circles. Our client's IT systems help support the trading of items such as derivatives swaps and fixed income products. Our client’s position in London will further benefit as the banking world adjusts to a more regulated and structured environment. As a highly established and one of just two preferred suppliers to this client we have been asked to identify a contract Change Analyst / Configuration Analyst to join a current team of three Change Analysts / Configuration Analysts.

Role responsibilities:-
Configuration Analysis: 40%
Change Analysis: 30%
Change meetings: 20%
Process Improvement: 10%

This role is really split 50/50 between change management and configuration management.

Change Management: The purpose of the job is to analyse, QA (quality assure), authorise and manage change requests within Remedy, ensuring that they comply with the Production Change Management process. As part of this analysis, the candidate must display a technical awareness of complex IT infrastructures and issues. Representing the team at meetings and also chairing scheduled or ad-hoc Change meetings e.g. weekly CAB meeting, Daily Service Review meeting, Pre-Implementation or emergency Change meetings etc. The candidate should be able to contribute to the continued development of the Change Management tool ‘Remedy’ and the process.
Configuration Management: The purpose of the job is to control the data and the associated controlling procedures surrounding Configuration Management. This involves taking ownership and management of a predetermined allocation of CIs. Promotion of merits of the Configuration Management service to customers.
